NxtStride's athlete-facing platform, currently in design and pre-launch development, is built around verified identity and federation-confirmed affiliation rather than open social access. As part of this design process, the company has taken the decision to disable all peer commenting functionality for athletes under the age of 15, regardless of parental consent status, ahead of any regulatory requirement to do so. "We build products for young athletes, and that comes with a responsibility to think about their wellbeing before a feature ships, not after," said JP Ahonen, Founder and CEO of NxtStride Finland Oy. "France's legislation is a useful signal for our industry. We'd rather design conservatively from day one than retrofit safety later."
